Gail Lisson

Dr. Lisson is a fellowship-trained Clinical Health Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Psychologist/Health Services Provider in the State of North Carolina. She received a Bachelors degree from Villanova University in Villanova, PA, a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, and completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. 

Her internship at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System in Gainesville, FL included rotations on the inpatient medical/surgical units, geriatric unit (including nursing home, rehabilitation program, and palliative care unit), chronic pain clinic, neuropsychology evaluation program, and the inpatient psychiatric unit. 

 Dr. Lisson's post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Florida Health Science Center and Department of Clinical and Health Psychology in Gainesville, FL focused on providing psychological evaluations and treatment for adults and children awaiting and recovering from heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, liver, and bone marrow transplants. She developed and implemented a treatment program to improve patients' medical adherence and health behaviors following transplant surgery.  She was then promoted to Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Health Science Center.   While her spouse served in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Lisson served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology and the Director of the Student Mental Health Center at the University of Guam. 

Dr. Lisson has been in private (solo) practice for over 15 years.
